At LotusPay, we are working hard to build products and processes to help businesses collect recurring payments. As Lead Engineer at LotusPay, you will push us further towards that goal by leading an engineering team.

You will:

• Be an individual contributor as well as a team manager.
• Work with other leaders to design and execute our strategic approach from a technical, product, and operational perspective.
• Support the engineering team in achieving a high level of technical productivity and quality.
• Manage processes to help the team do its best work and interface effectively with the rest of LotusPay.
• Recruit great engineers in collaboration with our recruiting team.
• Develop engineers on the team, helping them advance in their careers.
• Contribute to engineering-wide initiatives as a member of our engineering management team.

You may be fit for this role if you:

• Have five to ten years of full stack engineering experience after college, including significant engineering management experience in a product company.
• Want to continue spending the majority of your time writing great code.
• You have built and scaled products using micro-service architectures and REST APIs.
• You have mostly coded in Ruby, Python or Node.js. We code in all Ruby and our core product is built in Ruby on Rails.
• You’ve managed teams that shipped and operated critical infrastructure.
• You are deeply technical, and leverage your technical expertise to constantly raise the bar.
• You have a strong quantitative and analytical background.
• You’ve successfully recruited great teammates and developed managers.
• You thrive on a high level of autonomy and responsibility.
• You are excited about collaborating with teammates across LotusPay's organisation, including Product, Operations, and Finance.

It's an advantage if you:

• Have experience in digital payments, bank integration and eSign integration.
• Have taken a product from scratch to scale in a short space of time.
• Have experience as a technical architect.
